This is truly a beauty. The petals of this poppy are so dark it appears to be black. It is really a very dark purple but only apparent on close examination. We grew a small crop of this variety last season and have a limited supply of seed available in 1 gram packets. It produces flowers both thick with petals and with the usual four. The pods dry thick and strong for lasting ornamental quality.
